CURRENT GARDEN SERIES
Besides art, gardening is my other passion. I fell in love with gardening decades ago and since then, gardens and flowers have been a favourite subject for my art. Early locations may have included historical gardens in Europe and North American. This current collection of paintings is more personal, with scenes primarily from gardens I created in Montreal and Kingston. During the gardening season, if I’m not in my studio, I will no doubt , be outside working in the fresh air, amongst the dirt and plants. Its always a joy, to not only watch flowers come to life each year but appear later on my canvases. I am inspired by the amazing variety of colours and shapes and changing light throughout the day and seasons.
